Pure Body Balance Pilates studio
Our studio is a warm, inclusive space, thoughtfully created to help you feel at ease, supported and made very welcome from the moment you arrive.
Pilates was developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. Pilates was created around six core principles: concentration, control, centuring, precision, breathing and flow.
Pilates is a mind, body and spirit practise with benefits that include, improved posture, better coordination and balance, increased lung capacity, improved concentration and focus, increased body awareness, stress management and injury prevention.
It aims to improve how your body moves and feels by strenghtening deep stabiliser muscles, increases flexilbity and creates better alignment across the body.
One of the biggest benefits of Pilates is spinal support and help with back pain (both improving and preventing it). Pilates strenghtens the deep core muscles that support the spine, reducing tension and discomfort, improves chronic back pain and reduces the likelihood of future back issues.
Pilates can benefit MEN greatly. Men are often less flexible than women, due to hormones and may benefit by improving their mobility.
Lots of elite athletes across all sorts of sports use Pilates to strenghten their core, avoid back pain and improve their performance in the gym and sports.
Pilates is suitable for anyone wanting to move better and feel stronger and it is not gender specific.
